Noun: Scale Ticket
A scale ticket is the receipt given to a driver that determines the net weight and often qualities of the bulk load. The net weight of a load is determined by the gross weight with the load, and the tare weight of the equipment without the load. The scale ticket may be provided for received bulk shipments (inbound) and for shipped bulk shipments (outbound). The intended scope of this usage is for grain, feed and crop nutrition to and from farms, as well as to retailer or processor locations. Barge, vessel and rail bulk shipments are not in scope. This does not replace the Commodity Movement message that aggregates multiple scale measurements and grading into a single envelope, which also provides contract allocation, settlement split and other charges.
